Throughout the month of November, Hydro Argentina accompanied a series of initial training sessions in aluminium carpentry organised by the distributor AS, in coordination with the Municipality of Salta and its Employment Office. The activities took place at the Centro Integrador Comunitario in the Constitución neighbourhood and were attended by 65 people per class, including carpenters, entrepreneurs and neighbours interested in acquiring a new trade.
Theoretical and practical classes were held every Tuesday and Thursday from 5 to 6 pm. The training cycle included key notions on initiation in aluminium carpentry, budget breakdown, construction site interpretation and choice of typologies, with a focus on Hydro's Rotonda 640 carpentry systems.
Pedro Martín, AS general manager highlighted: “For us it is essential to bring technical knowledge to those who are looking for a job or to improve their practice. This type of alliance allows us to democratise access to the aluminium carpentry trade, promoting employability and local development.
The initiative is part of a long-term joint strategy to disseminate the use of Hydro systems and encourage apprenticeships in a trade that is increasingly in demand in the region. Hydro collaborated with the technical content and educational materials of the course, reinforcing its commitment to the training and growth of the community.
“At Hydro we believe that capacity building transforms realities. This programme, which we develop together with AS, not only provides practical tools but also opens up new opportunities for people. We are proud to support these processes that strengthen employability with social impact, said Victoria Wasserman, Commercial Manager of Hydro Argentina.
The training was very well received by the participants, who particularly appreciated the clarity of the contents and the concrete possibility of getting started in a trade. Most of the queries revolved around the setting up of systems and the possibilities of finding employment.
Hydro Argentina reaffirms its commitment to technical training and professional development, promoting initiatives that combine innovation, sustainability and social inclusion.
