The uptake of sustainable technologies and commitment to renewable energy continues to grow globally. According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the global clean energy market has increased by 12% in the last year, driven by the demand for more efficient and environmentally responsible solutions. In Argentina, the advance of hydroponics and the implementation of renewable energies are gaining ground, especially in the industrial and agricultural sectors.
In this context, Hydro Argentina reaffirmed its commitment to technological innovation and sustainability by taking part in the Second Hydroponics Congress, which took place in Cordoba on 22 and 23 May at the National University of Cordoba. The event brought together specialists and companies from the agricultural sector to promote sustainable and efficient practices in agro-industrial production.
During the congress, Hydro Argentina was present together with GFood, an Argentinean company specialised in the design and construction of intensive crop greenhouses and the automation of irrigation systems. GFood is dedicated to providing innovative and sustainable solutions for the cultivation of high quality products, using cutting-edge national technology.
Both companies shared a stand in the Argentina pavilion of the Auditorium of the University City of Cordoba. There, they welcomed visitors and exhibited Alugreen, the innovative line of modular aluminium structure greenhouses, designed to optimise and enhance organic agricultural production with yield improvements of up to 100%.
